A little less than a year ago, I saw who were soon to be my music inspiration, three chicks named Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, who together with my favorite sister Dash form the groovy band HAIM. Like the greats, Heart, The Runaways, and The Bangles, HAIM is notable for their all girl kickass image. HAIM brings back a somewhat 70s vibe mixed with their own authentic sound.
Being the badasses they are, they also incorporate their fashion as a signature to represent how cool they are. Danielle brings a 70's rocker nostalgia with her look, Este proclaims her girly and feminine side, and Alana expressed her quirky and youthful personality. As girl bands have started to die out, HAIM refreshes you with a new sound of rock, described as "nu-folk-meets-ninetiesR&B". From someone who has seen and met them, I can say that they are really friendly and in many ways SPICY! And as I hugged Este, I let her know how inspirational they are to me, she replied with GIRL POWER!
